12 Weeks!

Today I am 12 weeks pregnant and our sweet baby is the size of a lime. I've been pretty tired most of the time. I have the hardest time waking up in the morning. Most of the nausea has subsided so thats been great! Although I am still getting headaches which is no fun. I've been loving being able to listen to the babies heartbeat anytime I want. Such an amazing thing to hear. Here is the link to where he got it...http://www.clinicalguard.com/sonoline-handheld-pocket-fetal-doppler-p-174.html Some of you had asked me and I think it works really well plus its priced very reasonably. The booklet said you may not hear the heart beat until 12 weeks and we heard it nice and clear at 10 weeks.

I started exercising on the treadmill today hoping it will help keep me in shape. Hoping to do that everyday I still walk with Rhody in the evenings because she just loves when I go with her :)

Things I've been craving: Salsa was the main thing this week, Salsa on scrambled egg whites w/ cheese in a tortilla! HOWEVER, I could NOT stand the smell of them cooking.....so I was more than happy to eat and run right to work :) I've still been wanting salad other than that its been pretty normal cravings. We did go and look at some baby stuff at target and I'm pretty sure I found our nursery theme! I'll post those items in my next blog post. I'm excited to start purchasing all of that fun stuff! The weather has been great in the 60's the last few days I've been loving it. I took my cousin Geocaching for the first time yesterday, we had sooo much fun! If you've never been, I highly recommend you go and do it!

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope everyone had a great Valentines day! I sure did! My husband got me a Fetal Doppler monitor! So first thing this morning I got to hear my sweet little babies heart beat again! It stayed around the 140bpm range. Just so amazing, what a great gift! Below is the link so you can hear the heart beat too!

Last year on Valentines day I had to have my Gallbladder removed. It was quite a different one this year compared to last year! Glad that is all behind me now, it made for a very rough year! I hope you all had a special day and if you didnt I hope you did something special for yourselves. I hope everyone has a great week! Check back soon for more updates!

We heard the Heart beat! :)

Today we heard the heart beat! It had to be one of the most amazing things I've ever heard in my life! The doctor said it was very strong and sounded great! She said we are now safe to tell everyone the risk of miscarriage is very slim now. What a relief, so today I will be telling my facebook friends!

I've been feeling pretty good. I've been getting really bad headaches, more like migraines, I guess that has replaced the nausea which at least is not showing up nearly as often! SO glad about that, but then again whats worse feeling nauseas or a migraine? That's a toss up!

Cravings have been pretty minimum this week. I'm not craving strawberries anymore or salad. I seem to not be a fan of chicken this week but I really want crab :)

Well I hope everyone has a Happy Valentines' day!!!

10 Weeks!

Today I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I am starting to get some relief from the nausea which I really hope keeps up. I purchased my first maternity clothes! I am surprised how comfortable they are. I'm only showing a tad tad bit but my jeans are getting really uncomfortable. I'm so impressed how they look. Tim even likes them! Motherhood was having an amazing sale (BOGO free!), so I'm pretty much set on clothes until possibly my 3rd trimester!

Cravings I've been having: Still dill pickles, actually I've been really wanting fried pickles! Haven't made them yet because I hate that my whole house smells like the fryer. :) Mike & Ike's which is a weird one because I have never in my life bought any of those! Still been having bagels with cream cheese with fresh tomato on top..SO good.
I feel like I am getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom all night. So I'm super tired all the time. I've also been having silly dreams too. Last night I had a dream that I was driving Rhody and I around in a Go Cart! So funny!
I have my next doctors appointment on Monday February 13th, I hope they do another ultrasound but I guess we'll see. Either way I'll keep you all up to date! I'm excited 2 more weeks and I'm out of the first trimester!

9 weeks!

So I'm now 9 weeks pregnant and I've had tons of different cravings and lots of nausea! Lucky for me at this point I have not actually thrown up yet!

The things I've been craving; Dill pickles, cupcakes, Strawberries (still), bagels with cream cheese with tomato on top, cottage cheese with pineapple, and a few other things, but those are the main things.

My pants are starting to feel a tad snug even though I've lost a few pounds. Just uncomfortable and tired most of the time. Feels like I can never get enough sleep! Our next doctors appointment is on February 13th, 2012. Can't wait!

6 weeks

We had our first doctors appointment on January 16th, 2012. They mainly asked a ton of questions and took some blood. However, we did finally get to see our little Henrich. I think the picture makes it look like a little Gummy Bear!!

The doctor said we are right on track for a est. due date of September 7, 2012!

With this being our first baby my husband and I are soo excited. There is so much to do in the next months and I know they will be going by very fast. I just hope I can keep up with this blog so that I have something to look back at because I know this is going to be a blur! So far at 6 weeks I've just started getting nauseous. I have been craving pretty healthy foods, Strawberries and salads!

I'm Pregnant!

On December 27th the day after my 31st birthday we found out that I was pregnant! We were in WV visiting my family for Christmas. I was at my sisters house and finally remembered to take the pregnancy test, I had forgotten 3 days in a row! I used the first response early response test. As I was doing my makeup I finally looked at the test only to see that it was positive! I was stunned and shaking like crazy! We had been trying for over a year and was completely thrilled and shocked! I ran upstairs pregnancy test in hand, straight upstairs to tell my husband. Of course he was using the bathroom and I just could not wait to tell him! It felt like ages before he finally came out! We are both soo happy!

Now for the fun ways we told our families:

The first person we told was my Twin sister Libby. I had to tell her first because she told me first about her first baby. She lives all the way in South Carolina so unfortunately I had to tell her either on the phone or on video chat. News like this I felt should be done via video chat. I let her tell me how her doctors appointment went and then finally said "The reason I called was to tell you about the test I had to take." She was sort of confused but got it right away she was so excited she started crying, then I started crying. It was wonderful :) She was 7 months pregnant at the time with her second child so we are excited to have kids so close in age! The next to tell were my parents. There are these amazing chocolate covered pretzels from a little shop in Pa called Unique Pretzels every Christmas we bring a tin to my family because they are so amazing! Well we put the pregnancy test in an envelope and put it in the tin of pretzels. (Which were sealed in plastic). When my Mom opened the tin she was so excited about the pretzels she didn't even read the envelope that said "OPEN ME", once directed to do so she started jumping up and down screaming! Next then my dad, we just handed him the test he was so happy Im pretty sure he got a little teary eyed. Next to tell was my Niece because my other sister had to work till later. We were all sitting around the table playing play dough with my 2 nephews. I made a pregnant person out of my play dough and said "Look Tori its me!" Took her a min. but she was sooo excited also. Next on the list to tell was my older sister Ella. She finally made it home from work and was having car problems. I had taken and old white shirt and wrote "Hi, Aunt Ella" on my tummy and put a shirt on over top of it. While she was telling her story I took off my outer shirt and just waited for her to notice. Her face was priceless!

Since we were away visiting my family we had to wait to tell my husbands family. We wanted to make sure it was really special for them because this will be there first grand baby. Its my parents lucky number 7! We went and found "I love my grandma", "I Love my grandpa", and "I love my Uncle" bibs and I made them open them at the same time by telling them I had sewed something for them. They are ecstatic! I don't think it has really sunk in for them until I start showing. We had so much fun telling everyone!
