Caleb is 11 months old!!!

How is my baby growing so quickly! Today Caleb turned 11 months old! He got his second hair cut today. His hair was so thick in the back and getting in his eyes.

In two weeks we'll be having his first birthday party! I couldn't be happier/shocked that its already that time! This picture is of Caleb on our new deck playing in his pool. He loves to splash!!

So Wednesday we got the go ahead to reintroduce dairy into his diet. So the schedule is as follows.
Week 1- cooked milk
Week 2- yogurt/cheese
Week 3 & 4- Alimentum
1 year- Day 1- 2oz whole milk, rest formula
            Day 2-1 bottle whole milk, rest formula
            Day 3-2 bottles whole milk, rest formula
            Day 4- all whole milk

13 months- Test Stool for blood
So far he has taken really well to it. As of now we've had no side effects at all. I've been giving him pear/oatmeal with cinnamon for breakfast with milk mixed in (that I cooked) and he loves it. For dinner he's been having Creamy chicken dinner with apples and Milk and vanilla cookies for a snack. Which he loves but they are SO Messy!

Monday we are going to the beach for a few days so I hope he likes it! I'll post a blog for his birthday party!!

Caleb is 10 months old!

 

Caleb has been busy this month! He started off trying to walk assisted then started trying to crawl but would get so frustrated. He then started crawling and he is so fast now!  He loves playing and doing his own thing now. He loves bubbles! Above is the Gazillion bubbles Typhoon! The thinks its soo cool.

 We've had quite a busy month! He stayed overnight with Grandma Henrich for the first time. He did really good. I know she loved the time with him. Cousin Tori came and watched him so I could help my Dad build our deck and he really loved getting to play with her all day.  We also drove to his Aunt Libby's house and he made the 11 hour (one way) trip like a pro! So many new things happened just while we stayed at her house. He went swimming for the second time and actually liked it! The first time he wanted to like it but not so much. :) He got to play a lot with his cousin Katelyn who is only 7 months older than him and it was so good for him to play with someone his own age. He FINALLY started getting his two bottom front teeth! They are soo cute. HOWEVER, this also means that I have not slept in 3 weeks now. I am exhausted.  He is having trouble sleeping through the night due to the pain.  Then cousin Kaela came and stayed with us for the week and he loved that too. Kaela helped us pick out his decorations for his birthday party!

So we're having a Zoo theme party! More details to come!

Caleb is 9 months old!

I can not believe that Caleb is already 9 months old. Where has the time gone? I'll be planing his 1st birthday party soon! Where to begin? There were so many first since my last post.  He said Ma ma! He got his first hair cut! He is standing alone! He has taken assisted first steps!  So many more first, where to begin...

Caleb was so good while he got his first hair cut. He let them put the cape on and sat still almost the whole time. He also had his first Dum Dum pop which he LOVED.  Its only been a few weeks and he needs another hair cut!

He also went to the zoo for the first time. He loved the ducks the most! He laughed so hard as I fed them. It was adorable.

He also learned how to drink from a straw and he loves it. He does soo great with it. He prefers that to a sippy cup so thats what he'll drink water from.  He loves being outside looking at plants and trees.

He is also eating finger foods. Well trying to eat them. Hes tried pears, peas, cheerios, and strawberries. He is not a fan of the textures but hes getting used to it. He was not a fan of the peas or cheerios but loved the strawberries. He is learning to pick them up and will get the hang of it.

He is changing so quickly and his personality is really starting to come through.  He can say Mama! The video below is from when he said it for the 3rd time. It couldnt have been sweetier. He has even looked at me and said Mama. I dont think there is a better feeling in the world. He just melts my heart! He is now 19.1 lbs and 29" long! He's getting so big! Well until next time. He just woke up from his nap. :)

Caleb is 8 months old!

My baby is already 8 months old. I can not believe it!  He is getting so big, so quick. He is working on trying to crawl. He will rock and put one hand forward. He's favorite foods right now are a mix of brocoli, peas, and pear and squash, carrot, apples, and prunes.  He has just recently starting drinking water out of a straw. He LOVES it. Which is great for us because it gives us a way to give him water. He spits some out, but drinks a good amount too.

Last week we went to the Kilby creamery and Caleb got to see a bunny, goats, calves, and ponies. He LOVED them, he loved the ponies the best. We had  nice picnic and he got to swing on the swing, which he also loved.   This week we are supposed to go to the zoo however, its supposed to rain so I guess we'll see.

Caleb went to the GI doctor for some constipation and he is now on a sugar laxative 3 times a day its called Lactulose.  He doesnt mind it and it is helping. She also wants to hold off until he is 11 months to start introducing dairy.  I just hope once we introduce it he can tolerate it.

Other than that not much new with him is going on, which is good :)  Guess only a few more weeks until 9 months! CRAZY!!

7 Months and 3 weeks Caleb HATES Vegetables!

Caleb tried "Vegetable Medley" today. This was his reaction. SOO FUNNY! Now he normally loves them. But this particular brand was a little thicker and contained lentils. He was NOT a fan!

Caleb is 7 months old!!

 Caleb is 7 months old already?!? How is this possible? Time goes by way too quickly!  I feel like every day he does something new lately. He is developing quite the little sense of humor.  He loves all his animals and when he sees them he just lights up.  If Rhody pays ANY attention to him he thinks it's the most wonderful thing in his entire world. Its adorable.  We've had quite a busy month this month.  The Easter Bunny came for a visit. He went to WV for his cousins spring break and we stayed there for the whole week. Caleb was so good the whole time. He just wanted to get up and run with the big kids.Until he got sick.

 Caleb caught his first cold.  First it started out as the croup, which seemed to get better then developed into a cold. So after about 8 days of being sick had to be put on antibiotics.  He is finally getting his appetite back poor kid. It was pretty much all sinus then ended with a little cough.  Although our whole house has been affected. We've had sinusitis and upper respiratory infection + a throw up bug go through the house. Still praying he doesn't get the throw up bug!

Calebs favorite toys currently are the Vtech Sit-to-Stand walker and his bouncer. Those two things are the most fun in his world right now! He could play for hours with both, and he does!  He is still such a happy baby and will just randomly get this very serious look on his face and just start talking about something that is clearly, a very intense subject. Its adorable!  When you talk to him half the time he acts like he knows what you're saying, then again maybe he does!

 He has recently started waking up in the middle of the night and just crying. I am hoping its just because he's been sick and this passes because he does it several times during the night.  Which is making me one tired Momma! Although, I have no right to complain because he has always been an amazing sleeper!

The weather is finally warming up and we have yet to really be able to enjoy it yet due to all the illnesses. I am really hoping to get him out to our local zoo here. He's going to love meeting all the animals! Plus, our zoo is the best zoo ever. Its called Plumpton Park Zoo and its pretty much exactly like the "We bought a Zoo" Park. You can feed almost all of the animals and they have peacocks that wonder around the park.  I may love it more than children, thats how much I love it!

He is only about a week now from turning 8 months old. He really wants to move...if you put him on his back he'll flip over and try to crawl he mainly just kinda flails and looks like  sky diver. He hasn't quite got that he has to keep his knees up, although he is doing amazing at sitting up by himself now. He will catch himself if he falls to the side and will lean all the way over and can get back up. Which makes me think if he realized what hes doing, he'll realize that he can crawl. That will be a whole new world for him and me! Until then, I'm enjoying life without worrying about him getting into something!

Also, we are STILL waiting on his darn teeth to come in. You can feel them on the bottom but they have yet to break skin. They have been making it painful for him. Which could also attribute to his waking up multipul times at night. Poor kid just moans sometimes and grabs his covers and chews on them, Advil helps to relieve the pain but I hate giving it to him so often.

Caleb is 6 months old!

Caleb is just growing so fast! He's is astonishing us everyday!  He is now trying to crawl and is just so chatty! He loves eating food, hes favorites are Squash, Green beans, Sweet potatoes, apple sauce and pears.  He loves his bedroom and is sleeping well in his crib. Although he just seems to spin in place all night long!  He says "da da' all the time mixed in with other nonsense words his sweet little voice melts your heart. He loves to bounce in his bouncer and he loves tummy time, finally! He learned how to flip over on his tummy and he finally liked being on his belly.  He started that at the first week of being 6 months old. 

He recognizes when I leave the room now and gets upset about it. He loves his animals, loves looking at them and really loves it when they pay attention to him!  He has been doing so many new things this month its hard to keep up with them all!  He really loves playing with all his toys. He loves the peek a boo blocks.

Caleb is eating food! WOOT!

We got the all clear from Caleb's GI doctor last wednesday.  He can start on veggies and rice cereal and he can start a new veggie every 5 days.  He's had peas- He does not like at all. Green beans  he likes and Squash - so far his favorite.  I've given him only a little rice cereal because the kind he can eat due to his allergies is Iron fortified and his formula is also iron fortified. Which constipates him so I've very reluctant to give him that quite yet. Either way he is enjoying is new lunch time routine.  They will start to reinterduce dairy and soy back in at 9 months with great hopes that he will tolerate the dairy so we can get past all this!

He weighs 16.5 lbs and is 27" long now.  Hes getting SO big, he loves bouncing in his bouncer. Its definitely one of his favorite things.  We are working on sitting up alone and tummy time. He likes tummy time a little better than he used to, he'll stay on his tummy for about 20+ min now with out bribing him with tv!

He's still as happy as can be. He stays so happy most of the time. He melts my heart. I can not believe that my sweet boy is almost a half year old already! How the time has passed. I just feel so blessed to get to spend this time with him <3!

Caleb is 5 Months old!

Oh how time has be flying by! Caleb is doing very well at last doctors visit he weighted 15lbs and 23 inches. He is developing quite well. He loves to stand, he wants to stand all the time! I'm convinced he'll walk before he crawls! Guess we'll see!  We are battling his poor teeth right now. I just wish one or all would pop through, the poor guy! He's having such a hard time with them and of course the one medicine that works well he cant have because the lactose! UGH!

We've decided that I would be stay at home Mom and my last day of work would be Feb. 1st.  I gave my notice and work called me and offered a position that I can work from home from a few hours in he evening! So I get to be with my boy and make a few extra bucks! I couldn't be happier!

He is such a joy! Anytime anyone takes him from me he looks around looking for me, making sure I dont go any where! I hope he stops that soon, I know I shouldnt be happy about it, but I love being needed.

He truly is such a happy baby! He is so snuggly, loving, happy, and talkative! I know I've a very blessed girl!  He can roll over from tummy to back, which I know he loves because he hates being on his tummy.  He loves bouncing in his jumper and loves giraffes!
