Caleb is 6 months old!

Caleb is just growing so fast! He's is astonishing us everyday!  He is now trying to crawl and is just so chatty! He loves eating food, hes favorites are Squash, Green beans, Sweet potatoes, apple sauce and pears.  He loves his bedroom and is sleeping well in his crib. Although he just seems to spin in place all night long!  He says "da da' all the time mixed in with other nonsense words his sweet little voice melts your heart. He loves to bounce in his bouncer and he loves tummy time, finally! He learned how to flip over on his tummy and he finally liked being on his belly.  He started that at the first week of being 6 months old. 

He recognizes when I leave the room now and gets upset about it. He loves his animals, loves looking at them and really loves it when they pay attention to him!  He has been doing so many new things this month its hard to keep up with them all!  He really loves playing with all his toys. He loves the peek a boo blocks.

Caleb is eating food! WOOT!

We got the all clear from Caleb's GI doctor last wednesday.  He can start on veggies and rice cereal and he can start a new veggie every 5 days.  He's had peas- He does not like at all. Green beans  he likes and Squash - so far his favorite.  I've given him only a little rice cereal because the kind he can eat due to his allergies is Iron fortified and his formula is also iron fortified. Which constipates him so I've very reluctant to give him that quite yet. Either way he is enjoying is new lunch time routine.  They will start to reinterduce dairy and soy back in at 9 months with great hopes that he will tolerate the dairy so we can get past all this!

He weighs 16.5 lbs and is 27" long now.  Hes getting SO big, he loves bouncing in his bouncer. Its definitely one of his favorite things.  We are working on sitting up alone and tummy time. He likes tummy time a little better than he used to, he'll stay on his tummy for about 20+ min now with out bribing him with tv!

He's still as happy as can be. He stays so happy most of the time. He melts my heart. I can not believe that my sweet boy is almost a half year old already! How the time has passed. I just feel so blessed to get to spend this time with him <3!

Caleb is 5 Months old!

Oh how time has be flying by! Caleb is doing very well at last doctors visit he weighted 15lbs and 23 inches. He is developing quite well. He loves to stand, he wants to stand all the time! I'm convinced he'll walk before he crawls! Guess we'll see!  We are battling his poor teeth right now. I just wish one or all would pop through, the poor guy! He's having such a hard time with them and of course the one medicine that works well he cant have because the lactose! UGH!

We've decided that I would be stay at home Mom and my last day of work would be Feb. 1st.  I gave my notice and work called me and offered a position that I can work from home from a few hours in he evening! So I get to be with my boy and make a few extra bucks! I couldn't be happier!

He is such a joy! Anytime anyone takes him from me he looks around looking for me, making sure I dont go any where! I hope he stops that soon, I know I shouldnt be happy about it, but I love being needed.

He truly is such a happy baby! He is so snuggly, loving, happy, and talkative! I know I've a very blessed girl!  He can roll over from tummy to back, which I know he loves because he hates being on his tummy.  He loves bouncing in his jumper and loves giraffes!

Caleb is 4 months old!

Caleb is getting so big! His sweet little personality shines through more and more each day.  He laughs all the time and loves playing with all his toys. He got a bouncer for Christmas and he just loves playing in it.  He loved opening each one of his gifts and looked at each one with amazement! He rolled over from his tummy to his back the other day. He still hates Tummy time so I'm pretty sure he was excited about his new trick.

He still loves his play gym and currently
seems to love giraffes.  He was a trooper shopping for Christmas. Saw lots of family over the holidays and was great through it all.  Next week he gets his dreaded 4 month old shots. I'm not looking forward to those at all.  The picture on the left of Caleb sitting on Santa's lap was soo funny. He was making the funniest face ever! That was the first time meeting Santa. The second time was at King of Prussia mall and he did much better. He didnt make such a confused face :)  He also got to see snow for the first time during Christmas. He didnt really seem to care but he did seem to notice it was different outside.

The neocate is still working wonderful for him. Still no problems with it.  He loves to eat, sleep, and play!  I'll update more once we go to the pediatrician so we can get and updated weight and height.

 

Caleb is 3 months old!

Caleb is doing so much better then what he was.  He's now been on Neocate formula for a month now and we can see a huge difference  Number 1 he has no more blood in his stool. Number 2 he is so much less fussy.  He weighs some where around 14 pounds now and is soo sweet :). He laughed the first time on Thanksgiving vacation! His Aunt Libby was playing Peek-a-boo with him and he started laughing!! He laughs a lot these days and is usually very smily and happy.

 He still hates tummy time but loves his monkey and elephant toy on his gym.  This is going to be his first Christmas and he loves looking at the lights on the tree and the train going around the bottom. :)

Caleb is 2 months old!

Caleb is growing so fast! He's already 12 lbs 12 oz! He's been having some medical issues that scared us! There has been blood in his stool. Just specks but still enough to make us worried. They took a sample and it came back showing no infection. She thinks its a dairy allergy, so I am to eliminate all dairy and soy from my diet to see if that helps. So far its been week and he is still showing a few specks of blood. Most things I've read says it could take up to 2 weeks.  Its been very difficult to eliminate dairy because its in everything we eat! Its worth it for him to feel better, poor guy.  He doesn't  act like anything is wrong though he's still his happy little bubbly self:) he did get his shots last week and that was terrible. I hate shots! I felt so bad for him. He was so sore and you could tell. We gave him a really long bath and that really seemed to help with the pain because he slept pretty well with that and some tylenol.

He's holding his head up now really well! He also laughed for the first time in his sleep, we're still waiting to hear it while he's awake! He loves to play on his play gym and loves to smile! He can brighten up your entire day by just one smile. :) Caleb is also met his Great Grandfather this past week also! Above is 4 generations of Henrich's.

Caleb is 7 weeks old!

 

Tummy TIME! Caleb is now 7 weeks old and growing soo fast. He is still having gas issues that we are trying to work through but hes spitting up is a lot less.

He is starting to grow out of his new born clothes.  His 3 month old  clothes are just a little too big for him but I have a feeling he'll be in them before we know it.


He is doing really well holding up is head.  He likes to do tummy time on your chest and not on a flat surface.  It makes him very angry!   He is looking at things more. He really likes his monkey mobile. I just bought him a play gym that should arive today, I think he'll really like it.  We're waiting for him to laugh any day now.  He's full of smiles most of time which we love! Just melts your heart when he smiles at you.

At his last appointment he weighted 10lbs 15 oz and I'd say hes over that now. He's really filling out.  He goes on the 29th for his 2 month appointment and he gets is first shots which I'm not looking forward to.

Caleb is 1 month old!

Today Caleb is 1 month old!  He is growing so fast I hope i dont forget how amazing he is at every stage and age.  He has been having problems sleeping at night.  I'm hoping to have him on a better schedule soon so I can get some sleep too!  He likes bathes but not getting out. It makes him too cold.  He is still having issues with gas poor little guy. I hate to see him uncomfortable.  

This outfit is his first big boy outfit! He so small we dont have many clothes that fit him so we just bough him some pants the other day.  My sister says he looks just like a cabbage patch kid I had when I was little and he does!!  

Caleb is 18 days old!

Caleb is 18 days old today. He is growing so fast its amazing to watch. He is starting to follow things with his eyes and he is holding his head up really well.  He has had his days and nights mixed up which has been a challenge to break. Yesterday we kept him awake until it was time for bed and he finally slept at night only waking up every 2-3 hours to eat but he went right back to sleep which was great!  I really hope he sticks close to this schedule over the next couple weeks.  He is gaining weight I would guess he probably weighs some where around 8 lbs 2oz or so.  He is still a really good baby, smiles a lot and loves to snuggle.  He is still spitting up some but the little tummies seems to be helping some as well as keeping him up right after eating. Poor little guy I hate seeing him uncomfortable.

Caleb Chase 10 days old

Caleb is now 10 days old and he is doing wonderful, his current weight is 7lbs 4oz and he is eating so much he'll be 8lbs in no time! He is already starting to make eye contact and smiles a lot.  He is very alert for his age. He loves to look around the room at everything!

My incision is healing. Its still pretty sore especially if I forget to take my pain medicine. So Tim sets his alarm to help me keep on track.  My tummy is slowly going down. Still has a ways to go but its looking better.  Its nice to see your toes after several months :) Caleb has started sleeping mostly through the night. I really hope he keeps that up.  He has been such a good baby so far. He only fusses a little when he needs something, other than that he is soo content. Caleb has been such a joy so far I really love being his Mommy.
